Cheltenham Suites - The Escarpment Suite

We booked both suites for our family to stay one night for a family wedding nearby. Positive: Location was terrific and the inn itself was quite charming. Large space and clean. We appreciated the sitting area and separate sleeping area. Negative: Issues with wifi and spotty service. Initially, wifi wasn't detectable and we couldn't connect, but after texting owner, that was resolved. However, the service was poor--couldn't get some work done nor could we watch TV. Hot water from taps/shower in bathroom took a while to warm. Bathroom especially was quite dated--could do with a simple refresh--even changing the toilet seat (peeling paint and stained) would go a long way.

Perfect, charming place to stay with a lovey general store downstairs which carries anything you’d need for a night away Positive: The property was charming and exactly what we needed for one night away to attend a wedding. It is also very convenient that the general store is downstairs so we were able to get fresh breakfast and coffee. Negative: Everything about the stay was great. The only small hiccup was the wifi could come in and out which would make the TV freeze for small periods of time but not something that impacted our stay negatively.

Relaxing village retreat Positive: There was clear and timely communication about access to the property. The village where the property is situated is charming and quiet, with the Credit Trailway within walking distance for walking, cycling or cross country skiing in winter. There are a number of lovely local parks and heritage facilities nearby for visiting. The seating by the river front was comfortable and restful to sit with a morning coffee. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed, and good sitting and bathroom facilities. It was clean, private and quiet. Negative: Everything was good.

Happy Positive: Beautiful old building. Lovely sitting area beside the river. Negative: Never met any staff. We were just given codes to get in. The shower definitely needs a rubber mat to prevent slipping. The main bed was good. The pull-out bed was extremely uncomfortable.
